May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Cherish the Moment

It's time once again for our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  We will be featuring May's Stamp of the Month, Cherish the Moment, a set of 8.

If you've come from {Carol's Blog}, you're on the right path. We have over 60 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

This month, I chose to use the new Cherry-O Level 2 Papers - full of color and fun!  I created a card using our wonderful Originals Card Confidence Program.  It is also a card we will be creating during my card workshops in May.

Stamps: Cherish the Moment (Stamp of the Month)
Inks: Tulip
Accessories: Cranberry Ribbon, Cranberry Brads (only because I don't have the new Tulip Accents)
Techniques: Sponging, Masking

The main image was masked to use just the Happy Birthday box. I also masked the image again to get just the line for the outline. I also used the masking technique to create the "Cheers" sentiment.  Just ink your stamp, use a piece of scrap paper or post-it to cover the portion of the stamp you do NOT want to use, then stamp the rest of your image.  You can trim if necessary - sponging the edges also helps to hide slight imperfections.  The scalloped edge is just a piece of background and texture paper punched with the corner rounder to create scallops and adhered to the inside of the front of the card.

Now "Hop" on over to {Shelia's Blog} to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! The complete list of participants is here. Remember, the May SOTM is only available until May 31st! Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount or even free!

Until next time...

Debra
