Stamp of the Month Blog Hop {Baroque Borders}

It's time once again for our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! This month, we are featuring August's Stamp of the Month, Baroque Bordersset of 5.

If you've come from {Tamytha's Blog}, you're on the right path. We have over 50 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

Apparently, I have managed to misplace my Stamp of the Month sets :(  As I receive them early, and I had this hair-brained idea to actually try to organize my disaster area, I'm sure I put them in a safe place. Unfortunately, I forgot where that was. That's what I get for moving things around.  I will find them and get artwork posted as soon as possible. I have this really neat idea in my head that involves some tulle, embossing powder, brads, and a few other things from my stash of stuff.  Please check back.

In the mean time, please continue on the hop to {Tamra's Blog} to check out her fabulous artwork! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! The complete list of participants is here

Don't forget, the Stamp of the Month is only available until August 31st! Contact your consultant, or click here! Everyone who purchases the Stamp of the Month from me is invited to my FREE Stamp of the Month workshop next month where we will create a fabulous project or two using Baroque Borders. Check my calendar for dates and times!

Until next time...

I LOVE this month's stamp set! The fun fonts and quotes/sayings are fabulous and PERFECT for my boys.  I decided to pair this stamp set up with our wonderful Victory Level 2 Paper Packet, as well as the stamp set from the Victory Workshop on the Go.  The layout sketch is from Studio J - our online digital scrapbook program.  Since I've used this layout several times before, it was easy for me to get measurements and recreate it with paper.  The circles and quarter-circle were cut using the Cricut AP cartridge. The "Live Out Loud" quote fit perfectly in the small Bamboo circle on the left page. I added in a little twill ribbon (retired) and a few of the Milepost Shapes stars, and finished it off with a few Colonial White Brads.

Supplies
Stamps - Live Out Loud (SOTM) and Victory WOTG
Inks - Chocolate
Accessories - Twill Ribbon (retired), Milepost Shapes, Colonial White Brads

Stamp of the Month Blog Hop {Life is Tweet}

It's time once again for our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! This month, we are featuring June's Stamp of the Month, Life is Tweet, set of 15.

If you've come from {Brae's Blog}, you're on the right path. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I'll be honest, this month's stamp set is totally not me.  I ended up CASE'ing one of the cards from the ideas and inspirations on my website.  I just used what I had readily available (if you could see my disaster area, you would understand "readily available").  The card base is cut with the Cricut AP using [square4] and the card layer at 4 inches. The Colonial White piece is cut at 3 1/2" using [square4], then stippled with Desert Sand ink using the Stipple Brush from the Texture Tools.  The Lagoon strip is stamped with the border in Lagoon ink.  The flower is also cut with the Cricut AP - [flower5] at 2 1/4 inches. I added in a Foundry Pin Clip and a Flutter Paper Shape inked with Cocoa ink.

Stamp of the Month Blog Hop {Friendship Bouquet}

It's time once again for our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! This month, we are featuring May's Stamp of the Month, Friendship Bouquet, set of 8.

If you've come from {Wendy's Blog}, you're on the right path. We have about 60 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

Each month, I try to incorporate the Stamp of the Month into at least one of our 3 layouts for our WOTG.
I chose to use the Pemberley WOTG layout and slightly modify it. I have to thank Annette Green for the inspiration to "spruce-up" (as she put it) this layout. As I had most of the pieces already cut, (I'm one for following instructions) I wasn't about to redo it all, but adding that strip of the Indian Corn Blue B&T helps. I don't normally add a title to my layouts until I have my photos down, but being as Mother's Day is in May, I thought that would be a fitting title.  Now to find some pics of my mom :)

Here's a few close ups with the details...

I used the large flower, stamped in Timber Brown Staz-On ink, then colored the center with Cocoa ink. For the petals, I chose to use Honey ink in the middle and Buttercup for the outside using my water brush.  The leaves were colored with Olive ink using the water brush.

I used the verse on the tag and adorned it with 3 bitty pearls in the corner.
I used 3D foam tape for the sunflower and leaves.

For the right side, I moved the title above the strip.  I decided on a cluster of sunflowers - 1 large and 2 small.  They were stamped again with the Timber Brown Staz-On ink, then colored using ink and the water brush.

The title is cut with the Cricut AP cartridge at 1 1/2", then sponged with Desert Sand ink.
I added 3 of the bitty pearls to the left side of each letter.

I stamped the "Treasured Friend" in Desert Sand ink under the Indian Corn Blue pattern strip and adorned it with a bitty pearl on each side.

Again, I used 3D foam tape to add dimension to the flowers and leaves.

Supplies
Stamps: Friendship Bouquet (May SOTM), Pemberley WOTG

Stamp of the Month Blog Hop {You Are}

It's time once again for our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! This month, we are featuring April's Stamp of the Month, You Are, set of 15.

If you've come from {Georgia's Blog}, you're on the right path. We have about 50 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I was supposed to take this stamp set to St. Louis with us this week and work on my project. I'm really glad that I forgot to take it with me! After we got home today, I had this idea to go with our Cruisin' workshop layouts. I'll be using the Cruisin' layouts to highlight our trip, and this stamp set was perfect to add to those layouts. Here is one of the pages we'll be doing for our workshop. It's actually taken directly from the Idea Book, and will be the first page of my family's Spring Break album.  It is still a work in progress as most of the photos from our trip are still on either my camera or the laptop.

I used the word border stamp to create a border around the outside edge of the Juniper mat with Cranberry ink.  I used the stars in between the wording with Grey Wool ink.  To create the corner designs, I chose one of the semi-circle images and stamped it sideways, then rotated it to create a medallion of sorts.

I'm not one to sew, but I do like the look. I decided to cut apart the stamp that has the words and the dots. I then used just the dots to create a border using our White Daisy ink. As this is a pigment ink, I did heat set it with my heat tool.

Supply List
Stamps: You Are (April Stamp of the Month), Adventure USA

Stamp of the Month Blog Hop {Potential}

It's time once again for our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! This month, we are featuring March's Stamp of the Month, Potential, set of 8.

If you've come from {Sarita's Blog}, you're on the right path. We have about 60 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I have to thank fellow Consultant, Vicki Wizniuk for this month's project inspiration.  She posted a layout similar to this on our Consultant boards and a light bulb finally went off in my head! This was a particularly hard stamp set for me to work with.

The layout sketch is from our retired You & Me Special from May 2011, modified to fit 4x6 photos. I used the new Stella papers - LOVE these colors!

Here's a few close ups and some creative notes....

I used the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge to cut the title at 1 inch. The cartridge also coordinates with this month's stamp set. The circle is cut at 1 3/4", then the accent is stamped in Lagoon ink. I matted it on a Creme Brulee fancy circle, also cut with the Cricut AP cartridge - Shift + Decorative Layer [Circle3] at 2 1/4". The phrase "Anything is possible" is stamped in Tulip ink. The flourishes are stamped in Desert Sand ink.

To finish off the page, I added a Bling Button to the center of the stamped accent.
I used the small Creme Brulee paper flowers from the new Paradise Paper Flowers collection, then added a small Glitter Button from the Bohemian Assortment to the center of those.

For the left page, I again used the Cricut AP cartridge and cut journaling box using [Shape8] at 3 inches in Creme Brulee, and 2 1/2 inches in Colonial White. I also stamped the flourishes in Desert Sand again and added the Creme Brulee flowers and Glitter Buttons.

Supply List
Cricut AP: [Circle1] - 1 3/4" (pg. 21), Shift + Decorative Layer [Circle 3] - 2 1/4" (pg. 41), [Shape8] - 2 1/2" & 3" (pg. 47), plus the title "Together" (font layer).

I used the Sonoma Level 2 papers. The heart basket was cut with the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge at 6 inches.  I added a zip strip across the front of the basket. The handle is cut at 3/4" x 10".  The "ticket" is stamped in Smokey Plum. The heart is stamped in Petal. I added them to the basket with 3D foam tape for a little dimension. Stamp of the Month Blog Hop {Little Reminder}

It's time once again for our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! This month, we are featuring January's Stamp of the Month, Little Reminder, set of 25.

This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

Since December got super hectic very quickly for me this year, I did not get my Christmas cards done.  I think it's the first year in the last 14 that I have not done any Christmas cards.  When the 19th rolled around and I still hadn't started, I decided to concede defeat and came up with a plan to do New Year's cards instead. January's Stamp of the Month is the PERFECT set for New Year's!

I love how the images in this set coordinate well with the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge! The large month's circle is cut at 2 1/2" inches using [circle1]. The smaller dates circle is cut at 1 3/4 inches using [circle1]. I cut the little banner pieces at 2" using [banner1].   I started off using the Delightful Dots pattern from Wishes and then modified it slightly.  The "12" is embossed in Cocoa embossing powder for a little extra flair. I also placed bitty sparkles in between the months on the larger circle.

For a little added dimension, I used 3D Foam tape to pop the date late off the month layer.  I added a little dark chocolate striped grosgrain ribbon to finish off the card.

Supply List
Pattern: Wishes - Delightful Dots (modified)
