Twitterpated Workshop on the Go!

This month, we'll be doing the new Twitterpated Workshop!

Close To My Heart has made a few changes to the Workshop on the Go program with the release of the new Fall/Winter Idea Book. You now have the opportunity to purchase a whole workshop KIT! And at a DISCOUNT! The kit includes a Level 2 Paper Packet, a full/complete package of one embellishment, and an EXCLUSIVE (workshop only) B-size stamp set! The new kit retails for around $35, but you can get them for only $29.95! How awesome is that?

Another change is the actual workshop. You can either do a scrapbooking workshop - a featured layout complete with the cutting diagrams and instructions and a second layout pictured from either Cherish or Imagine, or you can do a card making workshop - 6 cards, 2 each of 3 designs plus 6 more cards (3 different designs). So the new Workshops on the Go are not just for scrapbookers now! And if you add just a little more cardstock, you can complete ALL the projects shown in the brochure - 4 12x12 pages and 12 cards!

For my workshop, what I'm offering is 6 pages (just as I had done before). We will be completing the featured layout and second layout and I will choose and design a layout from the same how-to book as the second layout. I've shared the layouts we will be completing at our September workshop. Special thanks goes to Misty B. for the "bonus" layout we will be doing.

Here's what's in the new Twitterpated Workshop on the Go Kit:
  • Twitterpated Level 2 Paper Packet ($12.95)
  • My Acrylix® Hello There ($13.95) (only available in kit)
  • Designer Ribbon Rounds™ Chocolate Collection ($7.95)
  • Workshop Guide ($1.00)

    Retail Value $35.85 (plus shipping/tax)

You pay only $29.95 (plus shipping/tax)!

I am also offering a Paper Only option for the workshop. You will receive the Level 2 Paper Packet and the instruction brochure for only $17. So, if you're not interested in the stamp set, or you have a stash of embellishments that you need to use up, you can still do the workshop. Your pages will be paper only pages - no embellishment. If you attend the workshop, you will have the use of my stamps and inks. Of course, there are "add-on" options available if you would like to add-on to your workshop to complete the pages and/or cards as shown. Visit my calendar for complete details!

Until next time...

You'll be Twitterpated!

Dear Reader,

Welcome to the September edition of my monthly newsletter. I hope everyone had a great Labor Day Weekend. I spent the weekend relaxing and working on some projects for upcoming workshops and classes. While I didn't get everything done that I wanted, I did get a few things accomplished. I apologize for the "lateness" of my newsletter. It seems we are still trying to get into the school routine around here. If you're going back to school, I hope things are settling in for you.

September brings you a LOT of new and exciting things from Close To My Heart! The first, is the NEW Autumn/Winter Idea Book. Full of new stamps, new papers, and new accessories, keeping up with and ahead of the scrapbooking and stamping trends, it's sure to jumpstart your creativity. With a new Idea Book comes new Hostess Pluss Rewards - those special bundles you can get at 1/2 off when you host a $350 gathering.

There's also a new Stamp of the Month for September - Treasures. I LOVE this stamp set! It reminds me of the days when I was a kid picking dandelions and making wishes.

September is also National Stamping Month. Close To My Heart has a delightful promotion as well as a daily contest!

My September calendar is updated. I only have a few dates left to choose from if you're interested in hosting a workshop or a gathering. I hope to have my October calendar updated this week.

In October, I'll be a vendor at the ScrapPink Crop hosted by The Scrapbook Tree. If you're looking for a fun day and need some time away to get some scrapping done, come join us.

I am temporarily suspending my monthly contest. Not that I don't love everyone playing, but with everything going on, it is so not fair for you to have to wait for prizes.

Those winners that are awaiting prizes will be getting them.

Hopefully, I can reinstate it within the next month or two.

My sincere apologies to everyone who has participated.

Beware!

Those that know me well, know that one of my favorite holidays is Halloween. When I saw the new Beware set in the Autumn/Winter Idea Book, I HAD to have it! Then I opted to participate in a swap where I had to use the new Grace Level 2 Kit and/or colors and any of the new stamp sets that would coordinate with it. Hmm...well, there was a challenge. I didn't want to use the new Workshop on the Go stamps, and I figured the Stamp of the Month was out as that is a separate swap. So, I pulled out all the colors that are in the kit - Cocoa, Twilight, Barn Red, Honey, and Colonial White - perfect for fall evenings. I figured I could pull off a Halloween card with those colors. I'm actually quite pleased at how it turned out.

Pattern: Wishes - Medallion
Inks: Twilight and Cocoa
Techniques: Edge Distressing, Ink Distressing, Paper Piecing

I distressed all the edges with the edge distresser, then distressed again with Cocoa ink. I stamped the Happy Halloween twice, cut the bat out of the second one and used a 3-D square to pop him off the first image. Use your fingers to curl his wings a little for added dimension.

September SOTM Blog Hop!

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! We will be featuring September's SOTM, which is Treasures, a set of 13 stamps. If you have come here from Helen's Blog, you are on the right path!

This month we have over 60 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

Pattern from Wishes

Papers: Twitterpated Level 2 papers (NEW!) (colors: Sweet Leaf, Sorbet, Crystal Blue, Chocolate)

Now "Hop" on over to Juli's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas!

Remember, the September SOTM is only available until September 30th! Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount or even free!

Here is another project I made using this Stamp of the Month...

Papers: Chocolate and Sorbet Cardstock

Inks: Sorbet

Accessories: Creme Brulee Ribbon, Ivory Eyelets (retired, but the new Colonial White eyelets will work)

I got the pattern for the mini backpack from Splitcoast Stampers. Since this was the first one I've attempted, I didn't go all out, but I can see adding some of the Twitterpated papers to the pockets and flaps.

You can also click here to see the gift bag I posted the other day.

If you get lost on the hop or find links that aren't working, click HERE for a complete list of participating blogs.

Until next time...
