Stamp of the Month Blog Hop {Thriller}

It's time once again for our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! This month, we are featuring September's Stamp of the Month, Thriller, set of 9.

If you've come from {Dawn's Blog}, you're on the right path. We have over 60 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I was fortunate enough to attend our team/unit meeting in Michigan a couple of weeks ago.  The lovely and very talented Sara Batkin showed us how to add a little bling to our projects and we made a fabulous card using embossing powder and prisma glitter. I knew this could be done, but had not yet figured out the correct ratio.  Thankfully, Sara shared with us what she had found to be the proper ratio.  I loved the results and plan to use this technique for my workshops this month.  It's also a perfect fit to this month's Stamp of the Month.

For this card, I chose to use the Bullseye pattern from Wishes. I modified/scaled the pieces down to make a standard sized card (5 1/2 x 4 1/4).  If there's a method for doing so, I have not yet figured it out, but I think it looks pretty close.

I scissor distressed all the edges of all the pieces then ink distressed everything in black ink.  Mix 1 part Prisma Glitter to 2 parts Embossing Powder. Stamp your image in Versamark ink, cover in EP/PG mixture, shake off excess and heat with heat tool.  You will see a change in color as the EP melts.

Pattern: Bullseye - Wishes (resized to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2)
Papers: Black Cardstock, Hydrangea Cardstock (retired), Grey Wool Cardstock, Grey Flannel Cardstock
Stamps: Thriller

Here's another view:

The EP/PG gives it a hollographic effect.

Now "Hop" on over to {Carla's Blog} to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! The complete list of participants is here. Remember, the September SOTM is only available until September 30th! Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount or even free!

Until next time...
Debra
