Studio J Memberships

Close To My Heart announced late last week that the new Studio J Memberships are now available!  Studio J is our online digital scrapbooking program that is completely FREE to use!  You only pay for the layouts you decide to purchase!  There's no software to buy, download or install.  Layout pricing starts at $12.95 per 2 page layout (or $6.50 per page).

So what's the membership thing all about?  You can now purchase a Studio J Membership that will give you membership only privileges!  You can choose a 3 month membership or a 12 month membership - both options give you the same benefits.

  • Save 50% on all your layouts (only $6.50 per layout/$3.25 per page)
  • FREE JPG files with custom print purchase
    • high resolution for printing and archiving
    • low resolution for emailing and online sharing
  • Members only Reflections Kits
  • Members only Layout Patterns
  • Free Memory Protectors for each 2-page layout
  • And more!
The only difference in membership options is the price.  A 3-month membership costs $30 and automatically renews at $10/month unless you cancel.  A 12-month membership costs $99, and automatically renews at the end of each year.
We've also got a Studio J 5-pack. A 5-pack costs $55 and consists of 5, two-page layouts, 5 Memory Protectors, and free shipping and handling.  It's the perfect way to try Studio J for the first time, or give as a gift!

Here are a couple of layouts that I started yesterday morning. I still need to do the journaling, but you can see what can be done.

Splash Zone is one of the exclusive kits available only in Studio J.
The layout pattern is a Member's Only layout.
You can change the colors of the papers to any of our 60 colors.

If you use high resolution images, you can zoom in on photos to crop out some of what you don't want.
You can also use the distressing options to add texture to your layouts.
Here, I used the stubble tool to add texture to the White Daisy across the top of the pages.

For this page, I used the layering option to "place" some of the My Stickease behind the photos.
Just right click on the stickease and select "send back".
You can also resize the stickease to fit where you want it.
For the title, I added the stickease then scaled it to show each word separately hence spanning across both pages.

This is another Member's Only layout pattern.
This kit is It's A Guy Thing, which is no longer available through our Idea Book.
While this layout calls for 9 photos, I only used 5.
Using the zoom feature, I was able to "crop" a few photos to highlight different people/things from each and showcase what I wanted.

You can color individual embellishments or make all like items the same.

You can add photo mats in varying sizes and colors.

If you haven't played in Studio J yet, I encourage you to do so. Even if you don't find yourself interested in digital scrapbooking, you can use the program to help design layouts and use the layouts for a sketch tool, placement options, embellishment ideas, etc.  Imagine planing your layouts in a few minutes before starting to cut papers and drag out embellishments!

You can find more on our Studio J program and read the FAQ on memberships and more on my website.

    Until next time...
    Debra
