Welcome to the April edition of my monthly newsletter! I hope everyone had a good Easter! We had a great day with the kids and grandkids here.

I had a FABULOUS time at both crops this year! It's always so much fun coming down for the day and spending it with great people. If you went, I hope you enjoyed yourself as well! Perhaps you got something accomplished too - even if it was just visiting with friends. Thanks to everyone who stopped by my Close To My Heart booth to visit with us. It was great to see some old friends as well as make new ones.

Congratulations to Alissa S. and Chanel U. who were the winners of my door prizes! I hope you enjoy your Felicity Kits.

Special thanks to Lea L. and Sherryl C. for spending the day with me at each event and helping me out. Special thanks also to Margaret L. for helping with the goody bags and make and take preparations. I could not have done this without them.

Welcome to the February edition of my monthly newsletter! There are lots of fun things in store this month from Close To My Heart.

Hearts for Haiti

Operation Smile is always a fantastic charitable partner-offering free facial reconstruction surgeries to needy children throughout the world. They've currently marshaled their medical teams and resources to provide emergency relief in Haiti, and the donations given as part of Hearts for Haiti will be used exclusively for Operation Smile's efforts in Haiti. Happy New Year! I hope you had a great holiday season! I enjoyed some time with my family and friends. We didn't do anything spectacular over New Year's - just played Monopoly with the boys (and lost). While I always enjoy the festivities, I'm glad the hustle and bustle are over and we can settle back into a somewhat "normal" routine. Although, I'm not quite sure what normal is anymore.

With the New Year, comes a new Spring Idea Book! The Spring 2010 Idea Book is filled with new and fun products for your stamping and scrapbooking pleasure. My 2009 Hostesses will be getting their copy in the mail this weekend. If you're attending a scheduled class or home gathering this month, you'll also get a copy. Happy Holidays! I hope this newsletter finds you doing well and enjoying the season. It's starting to look a lot like Christmas at our house again this year. The boys spent yesterday cleaning and organizing so we could get the tree and decorations up. They also spent some time working on the outside lights and hope to finish them up today.

I know that December gets really hectic for a lot of us - with Christmas cards, shopping, family gatherings, work function, school functions, and more! I hope you find a few minutes during this busy season to relax and enjoy the season, and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. One of the things I'm doing this year, is taking Shimelle's Journal Your Christmas class (again). I've done this for the last few years, but this year, I hope to actually complete the class (although I am already behind). (No, I don't get anything for promoting or mentioning the class, just thought I'd share.)

Dear Blog Guest,

Welcome to the November edition of my newsletter. It's amazing that as I get older, the time just seems to fly right by. It's so hard to believe it's already November. As if I needed the reminder, a friend told me there's only 52 days until Christmas!

Special thanks to all those who supported my Breast Cancer Awareness special last month. Together, we raised $127 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation! That is more than DOUBLE last year!

There will be a new feature on my website. Stamp sets designated for retirement at the end of 2009 will be featured in their own category on my website beginning Monday, November 2, just in time for Stampaganza. Retiring stamps will still be listed in their respective categories (summer, everyday life, etc.), but will also be highlighted in their own category. I have also updated the Unavailable List and reposted the Retired List to my calendar.

Close To My Heart also announced it's holiday shipping schedule. If you want an order shipped by Friday, December 18, orders must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. (MT) on Tuesday, December 15. These dates do not guarantee pre-Christmas delivery by UPS. UPS does not guarantee their special shipping options to arrive by the holidays, so make sure to plan ahead on your Christmas orders. Generally, UPS takes 5 business days to deliver to my area once an order has been shipped. Personally, I would recommend all orders slated for Christmas be submitted no later than December 12th.

I have updated my November calendar with workshops and open dates. I have not yet set December's workshops or open dates. Due to everyone's hectic schedule during December, I will only be scheduling the first 2 weeks so that we all may enjoy the season with family and friends.

Welcome to the October edition of my newsletter. As usual, I am running behind this month. Fall is definitely a season of change. Not only are the temperatures turning colder and the leaves are changing to gorgeous colors, it seems that change is happening elsewhere as well. My husband, Carl, went back to work (finally) this week after being laid off and unable to find a job. The boys and I have gotten used to having him home, so we've had to adjust to him not being here again. For us, that means there are extra things to pitch in on as a family again that he has taken care of for awhile. I'm sure we'll adjust just fine - we always seem to, it just takes a little time.

I had a great time at the ScrapPink Crop yesterday at VU - despite the airconditioning. Thanks to everyone who took a few minutes to stop by and say hello. I hope everyone had a great time as well!

Welcome to the September edition of my monthly newsletter. I hope everyone had a great Labor Day Weekend. I spent the weekend relaxing and working on some projects for upcoming workshops and classes. While I didn't get everything done that I wanted, I did get a few things accomplished. I apologize for the "lateness" of my newsletter. It seems we are still trying to get into the school routine around here. If you're going back to school, I hope things are settling in for you.

September brings you a LOT of new and exciting things from Close To My Heart! The first, is the NEW Autumn/Winter Idea Book. Full of new stamps, new papers, and new accessories, keeping up with and ahead of the scrapbooking and stamping trends, it's sure to jumpstart your creativity. Welcome to the August edition of my monthly newsletter. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. July was really hectic for me (moreso than normal). Carl and I had a wonderful vacation last month. I was told a couple days before we left that it was our honeymoon - not exactly what I would have chosen, but a vacation is a vacation. We came home in time for me to help set up the merry-go-round at the Knox County Fair - something I've been doing for 20 years. The boys love fair week more for the food and the demo, I think, than the carnival now. We also had a rough week last week in that my mother was hospitalized after an asthma attack and then diagnosed with pneumonia. Needless to say, I spent much of last week running back and forth to the hospital, as well as working full time. She is home and doing much better, for which we are thankful (I'm sure she is too). I know I'm behind on a lot of things, which I'm trying to catch up on this week.

Close To My Heart held it's Leadership Conference this past weekend in California. While I did not attend, I was lucky enough to get some of the inside scoop from fabulous sister consultants. There are some FABULOUS things in store for September and beyond! I can't wait to share them with you - which I'll do next month, because August has some AWESOME things in store for you as well. Okay, so there's a sneak peek at the bottom of this email.

I hope you had a good 4th! We didn't do anything special this year. Carl and the boys did set off some fireworks here at home. I think they like that better than going to see them. I think I'm adjusting to my new work schedule. It does not help that we are going through a major contract change for transportation. It's been a little hectic and stressful this past week. I'm hoping for a better week this week.
